| Firm Overview
We have over 20 years of experience resolving both simple and complex tax problems with the Internal Revenue Service and state and local tax authorities. We have represented individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and numerous state and local government agencies in all 50 states. At any one time we have clients with active matters in about 20 states.
We are a small firm that offers personalized service with streamlined overhead. We pass the savings on to you, our client. We charge less than most firms.
Each client has unique needs. We listen to our clients' wishes. We then create plans to achieve our clients' goals without the Internal Revenue Service or any other taxing authority becoming a long time partner in their lives or businesses.
|Martindale-Hubbell, a company that impartially rates attorneys nationwide, rates Paul H. Sweeney, our firm's principal, “A” for skill and ability and “V” for very high ethics, the highest ratings available. Please see the Attorney Profile page for more information.
Paul H. Sweeney is an attorney. When you communicate with him or his staff, attorney-client privilege protects such communications from disclosure to the IRS and anyone else. If a non-attorney represents you, your communications have less protection against compulsory disclosure.
We start with a complimentary consultation. We usually present several options and include our client in the decision making process.
We know that tax problems can be stressful. We usually diminish that stress and obtain a good outcome for a relatively modest fee.
Here are some clients' experiences. Although several matters involved substantial sums, we handle matters of all sizes for all types of clients:
"I had just gone through a Payroll Tax Audit with the IRS and they assessed me over $500,000.00 in unpaid payroll taxes. The business subsequently closed and I was then personally assessed for over $250,000.00 under the Trust Fund Recovery Act. You can imagine how I felt at the time. Well the entire thing was settled for $10,000.00 with the help of a member of your firm. I am grateful not only for the result but for the way you were there for me during a really difficult time in my life." George Hann, Bellflower, California
"My father and uncle had a business that closed. I started a new business in the same building as my father's old business. My father and uncle owed about $180,000.00 in back payroll taxes. The IRS seized my building and everything in it. A member of your firm got me back in the building so I could continue working the business, and the whole thing was settled for $20,000.00. I am so pleased with everything you did for me, thank you!" Shawn Hosek, Las Vegas, Nevada
"The IRS came after me claiming I owed them $80,000.00 in back taxes. After a member of your firm took on the matter and fought it up all the way through the IRS appeals process they backed down completely and said I owed nothing. What a relief, I can't thank you enough!" Gail Trasso, Los Angeles, California
"I've worked with a member of your firm for over 20 years and have always been very pleased with the way you promptly return my phone calls, your professionalism, your concern and interest in my problems, and of course the results you get. I always recommend you to anyone who asks." Handy "Jack" Priester, Fairfax Station, Virginia
These outcomes and experiences depended on the facts of the matters involved. Different facts can produce different results, and of course we cannot guarantee any matter's outcome. Generally, though, what we do pleases our clients.
